Kay Says Hey!

Thanks for making this an awesome year at McClure.  I can’t wait to see all of my seventh graders back next year as eighth graders!

Today we completed Year of Impossible Goodbyes!  We will be working on a culminating activity for the book on Monday.  The activity and questions will be due on Tuesday, May 19th.

Today we worked on the Maverick Mystery.  We viewed videos of the interrogations and tried to find the lies and truths that were told about geography.  We will continue to read Year of Impossible Goodbyes tomorrow.

We took our chapters 1-5 test today in Social Studies.  We will work on the Social Studies aspect of the McClure Mystery tomorrow.  Come prepared to discern truth from deceit!

We will have a short test over the first 5 chapters of Year of Impossible Goodbyes. This test will cover the characters and plot of the book.  We will review during the first few minutes of class tomorrow.

We finished chapters 5 and 6 today in class.  Don’t forget to study for your vocabulary quiz on Monday!  The quiz will cover all of the vocabulary words in chapters 1-5.

We read chapter 4 of Year of Impossible Goodbyes today in class.  We also completed our personal dictionaries and began reading chapter 5 independently.  We will have a vocabulary quiz over chapters 1-5 on Monday.  Be sure to have your dictionary completed by Monday!
