We continued learning about the Revolutionary War today. We will have a quiz on Wednesday, November 4th over the material we have covered.
Homework: Study for your quiz by reviewing your questions sheet. Complete the Revolutionary War Sites map. Don’t forget to label Atlanta, Kennesaw, the 5 regions, Brunswick, the bordering states and rivers, and the Altamaha River.

After our quiz today, we began working on our class timeline. We completed 11,700 years of history! Nice work! We will continue to work on the Revolutionary War on Friday.

After a pretest on the American Revolution, we created vocabulary flashcards. We also began notes on the call for independence from Great Britain.

Today we learned about the taxes that King George and the British Parliament imposed on the colonies. We also took a short quiz over the vocab words. Review your vocabulary words for a more thorough quiz next week. You do not have any additional homework.

Today we took our test on the colonization of Georgia. After the test, we worked on the vocabulary of Chapter 5 sections 3 and 4. Here are the words you should define: Tories, Patriots, boycott, Proclamation of 1763, Sugar Act, Stamp Act, Liberty Boys, Townshend Acts, Quartering Act, Second Continental Congress, Declaration of Independence, ratify, Articles of Confederation, siege, and Treat of Paris. You should use the online textbook to complete these if you were unable to finish them in class.
Homework: Define the vocabulary of Chapter 5 sections 3 and 4.

We took a short quiz on colonization today after we finished our royal colony notes. We also began completing our study guide for the test on Monday. Today we learned about Georgia changing from a Trustee Colony to a Royal Colony. We will have a quiz on Thursday over the 13th Colony Questions. Our colonization test will be Monday, October 19th.

After discussing the colonization of Georgia, we continued working in our groups to design advertisements for the colony of Georgia. Each group submitted their proposals, and we will complete the ads on Wednesday. Remember to bring any materials you need for your ads to class on Wednesday.

After returning the Native American tests, we began learning about mercantilism and the colonization of Georgia. We began working in groups to learn about Oglethorpe and the Charter of 1732. We will work on our advertisements in class on Monday.
