Court Cases

courtroomToday we took a quiz over our judicial branch vocabulary, and we analyzed the court cases we researched.  We will complete juvenile justice on Friday and have a test over the executive and judicial branches on Tuesday, February 9th.

Homework:  If you did not finish analyzing your court case, complete it for homework (See guidelines below).  Review the executive and judicial branches of your government graphic organizer.

—Type of case – criminal or civil (if criminal, is it a felony or misdemeanor).
—Type of court the case will be held in or is in right now (trial or appellate).
—Name the prosecutor and defendant (for criminal cases) or the plaintiff and defendant (for civil cases)
—What do you think the outcome of the case will be.  Why?  If there has already been a ruling, was the ruling fair?  Give reasons for your opinion.
