Classwork:
- We completed warm-up #10 and took the third warm-up quiz
- We checked last night’s homework and answered any questions
- You received a study guide to help you prepare for Monday’s test
- Remember we did two translating words into algebraic expressions in class, and here were the examples (you should have written down the correct solutions on the back of your purple study guide)…..(1) Harrison’s weekly allowance is double the money plus $20 that Amber spends on CDs in a week (2) Garrett bought "x" tickets to the Falcons game for $50 each and Lexi bought "y" tickets to the Thrashers game for $75 each. Write an expression to represent the total cost of the tickets to both games.
- You worked on a task, "Area and Algebra" with your groups and turned through at least #3 for a classwork grade.
Homework: Study for Monday’s Unit 2 Test (use your purple review sheet and the practice test you will get in class tomorrow)

Classwork:
- Homework check and homework questions
- We went through various examples from textbook pages 44 & 45 and ones I made up (most classes used whiteboards, but 7th period we ran out of time after the fire drill and homework questions….sorry)
- You were given time to start on your homework, and I think after asking a few questions for clarification many of you feel better about simplifying expressions (combining like terms) today than you did yesterday
)
Homework:
- Worktext workbook page 13
- Unit 2 – Part 1 Test on Monday

We’re going to do another day of simplifying algebraic expressions tomorrow, but for those of you who are getting confused or need a little extra help, try going through the Power Point for the lesson from the book (section 1-9)…..I hope it helps!

Classwork:
- Homework check
- Read and completed various examples of simplifying/combining like terms from pages 42 – 44
- You completed an activity using colored pencils to show how which terms would get combined, and we checked those to make sure you had the correct answers. Once you had the correct answers, you were given homework time!
Homework: Worktext workbook – Page 12 (if it helps you (if it helps you to use the colored pencils to box/circle the like terms, feel free to use them. I will allow you to do that on tomorrow’s work and the test if you want
)

I will have a review session tomorrow morning at 8:00 to help prepare for the Unit 2 – Part 1 test which is going to be given on Monday. Remember, you can only come to the review session if you had me sign a pass for you in class today.
I have attached a study guide below, and you’ll be working in groups to complete a practice test Friday. We’ll go over the correct answers in class, so make sure you write down any corrections at that time

Classwork:
- Homework check and went over numerous questions you had….remember to work through the problems slowly and carefully read what the words are asking you to do
- In your groups you worked on completing "From Situations to Expressions (or Equations)" & we went through the six correct answers in case you had any incorrect
- In most classes we went through at least 5 of the homework problems together…..I expect everyone to attempt every problem….just because it’s a word problem doesn’t mean you can skip it…..please give me 100% effort!
Homework: Textbook Page 40: 7 – 20b (that means everything between 7 and 20b should be completed)
