Classwork:
- You received a half sheet study guide to prepare for tomorrow’s test
- You received a practice packet so you could practice all of the geometric constructions
- You had the rest of the class to practice and to ask questions….some of you took great advantage of the time and asked me a lot of questions!
Homework: Unit 4 – Part 1 test tomorrow

Classwork:
- You learned the last two constructions today…..constructing a line parallel to a given line ((worktext page 295 – activity 3) and constructing a perpendicular to a given line (worktext page 296 – activity 4). You now have seen (and should have) practiced all 6 geometric constructions.
- You will have class period tomorrow to practice, review for the test, and to ask questions. Be sure you are practicing outside of class so you can do well on Thursday’s test.
Homework:
- Practice all 6 constructions using a compass and straight edge only
- Study terms, symbols, pictures, and constructions for Thursday’s Unit 4 – Part 1 test

Classwork:
- We reviewed how to construct a congruent line segment and a congruent angle using a compass and straight edge today….we learned these two constructions last week, but we quickly reviewed them today (see worktext workbook page 295 for the steps)
- We read through the steps and you watched me construct a perpendicular bisector to a line segment. Remember to refer to page 296 – activity #5 for help with the steps.
- We then read through and completed an example of an angle bisector. This construction divides the original angle into two smaller congruent angles. Refer to page 296 – activity #6 for help.
- You had the rest of class (at least 30 minutes) to practice the four constructions
Homework:
- Practice the four constructions you’ve learned thus far
- Unit 4 – Part 1 Test Thursday (it will include geometry terms, symbols, pictures, and the constructions)

Classwork:
- Unit 3 Retake
- You should have practiced constructing congruent line segments and congruent angles (there was a substitute in class for me today)
Homework:

Classwork:
- You were given some time at the beginning of class to review for today’s geometry terms, symbols, and pictures quiz
- You took the quiz
- You were to practice constructing congruent line segments and congruent angles using the steps on page 295 of your worktext workbook….remember, pages 295-296 are your lifeline for next Thursday’s Unit 4 – Part 1 Test
- Many of you asked me for help with constructions during class which is great! Those of you who are not practicing the constructions in class, I sure hope you are practicing outside of class. The test next Thursday will be difficult if you don’t know how to complete the constructions.
Homework:
- Unit 3 test retake tomorrow
- Unit 4 – Part 1 test next Thursday (will address terms, symbols, pictures, constructions, and applications of these topics)
- Practice constructions of congruent line segments and angles

Classwork:
- For the classes who didn’t finish going over the test yesterday, we finished going over all of the problems today
- We reviewed the geometry terms, pictures, and symbols for tomorrow’s quiz….be sure to study
- In most classes we went through how to construct congruent line segments and congruen angles. Remember, pages 295 & 296 have the important information you will need for the next week. We will be having a test over the first half of unit 4 on Thursday, Dec. 20. The second half of unit 4 will be addressed after winter break
- If you want to review and practice the geometric constructions get a compass
Homework:
- Geometry terms quiz tomorrow
- Unit 3 retake on Friday
- Geometry terms worksheet due tomorrow
