Today in class we had a race to see who could cut out and solve their logic square/sudoku-type puzzle first…..winners got candy. While you were working on the puzzle, the talent show was being shown so you could see yourself perform if you were in the show or you could watch in case you couldn’t come to the show
)
I hope everyone has a fun and safe summer…..rest up for 8th grade – you’ll need it

Today in class we began watching "October Sky." In the movie, Homer says how he is not good in math, but he ends up teaching himself complex math in order to attain his dream of making a rocket, to win the science fair, and to earn a scholarship to college. Through hard work and determination, the four boys in the movie end up going on to college and having successful careers. We will finish the movie tomorrow

During math today we cleaned out lockers…..you were to take all workbooks home. The only supplies you need for the remainder of the year are as follows: science warm-ups, agenda (with behavior card attached), paper, and pencil. Don’t forget the reward celebration for those students who maintained the requirements on their behavior card will be held on Friday afternoon….we’ll have pizza and soda

Classwork: An addition of integers champion has been crowned in each class except for Period 5 because one of our finalists was absent! Congrats to Connor, Hunter, and Bria! In some classes we had enough time to begin a multiplication tournament! It’s amazing how far some of you have come with positive and negative numbers!
Homework: If you haven’t brought back a signed progress report, please do so on Monday!
