More Histogram Practice

Classwork:

  • We did the second skills drill of the week….we’re working on single digit multiplication this week
  • We checked the homework from last night (page 179)
  • You worked with your partner(s) to finish the Olympic Medals Histogram activity. This was turned in for a class activity grade.
  • If your class had time, we held the Cotton Ball Olympics in class and each person had a chance to see how far he/she could throw one. We gathered all of our data in a frequency table with intervals and then constructed a histogram using our frequency table.
  • With any remaining time you could start your homework.

Homework:

  1. Length of U.S. Presidency sheet – be sure to answer all 6 questions and show all work in pencil! If you need the sheet, just click here US Presidency Histogram
  2. Quiz tomorrow – stem-and-leaf plots, histograms, mean, median, mode, and range will all be addressed on the quiz
  3. Unit 1 test  – Wednesday, Sept. 2 (that’s next Wednesday)
