We discussed some more advanced concepts about sound. These topics included how and why a sonic boom is created when we break the sound barrier, the concept and application of the Doppler Effect in everyday life, and the relationship between frequency/pitch and amplitude/loudness. Today we took our chemical symbol quiz and elements test.
After the test, students were to read in their books on pages 574-579.

Today, we discussed the Periodic Chart and its origins. We learned about how it is set up and why the groups have similar properties. We color coded our periodic chart to show the distinction between the groups. The PP for this class can be seen here:
